　　每年的高考单项填空都涉及考查习语型的试题。分析近几年的高考单项填空题可以发现，习语型的试题有两类：一类是短语动词类试题，一类是非短语动词类的习语。且动词短语类试题的考查角度由原来的同一动词词根为核心加不同小品词构成的短语的考查变化为不同的动词与其它小品词构成的短语动词的考查。因此在复习过程中要注意对《考纲》中的短语动词进行归纳、比较，只有这样才能适应目前的高考考查要求。

　　习语及惯用法搭配题：就中学所学的词或词组的习惯用法和搭配进行考查， 既可能对一些死的不能改变的 固定搭配和用法进行考查，也可能对一些较灵活 的搭配和用法进行考查，做题时，一定要注意特定的语境，如 ’96NMET中的10， 15，18，24题，再看以下试题和分析：

　　今天我们要讲的两个习惯用语都有一个共同的关键的字。那就是：Wool. Wool就是羊毛，或者是呢绒。但是，wool在和其他字合起来成为习惯用语的时候，它就不一定跟羊毛或呢绒有任何关系了。我们今天要讲的第一个习惯用语就是如此。Wild and woolly.

　　Wild and woolly的意思是：粗暴的，吵闹的，暴力的。Woolly这个字当然是来自wool，在wool 后面加上l和y这两个字母就成了形容词woolly。Woolly这个字开始使用是在美国建国初期。那时有不少人去开发西部，当时人们的态度很粗鲁，生活也很艰苦。

　　我们来举一个例子。有不少美国年轻人在举行聚会的时候喜欢放音乐，而且还把音量放得很大。这种情况经常会引起邻居的不满。下面就是一个人在抱怨住在他旁边的年轻人。

　　例句1: The young people next door had a wild and woolly party last night! Loud music and people yelling at the top of their voices - I couldn't get to sleep until four in the morning.

　　这个人说：隔壁的年轻人昨晚举行聚会，吵得要命。他们把音乐放得很响，而且还大声嚷嚷。直到早上四点我还没法睡觉。

　　美国学生往往利用暑假到跟他们专业有关的机构去实习，或打工赚钱。下面是一个办公室主任在说几个实习生。

　　下面我们再来讲一个跟wool这个字有关的习惯用语：Dyed in the wool. Dyed就是染颜色的染。也就是把布放在染缸里上颜色。染羊毛的最好办法就是在编织成毛料之前就染色。这样就不会变色，也不会褪色。要是我们用dyed in the wool这个习惯用语来形容一个人的政治信仰，那我们就是说，这个人的政治信仰很坚定，难以改变，就像羊毛染的颜色不会变一样。

　　我们来举一个例子。大家都知道，美国有两个大政党。一个是民主党，一个是共和党。但是，即便是一个家里的人，有的时候却属于不同的政党。下面例子里说的这对夫妇就能说明问题。
