  1、常用词汇

  2、常用表达句

  首段:

  雅思写作技巧

  方法1:找一些替换的表达

  譬如说nowadays,你可以说In the modern world, in today’s world, in modern societies等

  譬如说More and more,你可以说a growing number of …, there has been an increase in the number of …等

  方法2:表达在句子中换地方或者换一下词性或者句子结构

  譬如说:With the development of technology, 你可以说because of technological advances,

  As technology has been changing rapidly,

  譬如说:physically and mentally, 你可以说 has an impact on physical fitness and mental health, people may become physically ill and suffer mental health problems

  方法3:思考一下这个表达的具体意思,将其具体化,可以用例子或者解释的方法

  譬如说:colourful life,说到底就是人生比较丰富,活动比较多,那么你就可以说 these activities can enrich their lives and offer them many options in free time.

  譬如说:improve qualities,说到底素质就是一个人的品质,如何解决问题,品质比较高尚等,那么你可以说they will become compassionate and sociable people with a strong moral compass.

  方法4:直接去掉某些表达,譬如说nowadays, hot issue, datable issue 等

  这些表达很多学生觉得不写没东西写,觉得好像缺了什么。主要原因是你们在学习中总是接触类似的内容,你们是培训产业化的牺牲品。不管换多少个机构,换多少个老师,最后学的东西都差不多,因此很多同学锻炼出一种“中国人的英文语感”。

  从今天开始,这些表达全部不用,过一段时间,你就会发现了,其实没有这些表达,作文一样写,根本就没什么不同。

形容好天气:sunny/fine 表示晴朗的;nice/lovely/glorious表示天气晴好的;bright 表示阳光强烈的;there isn’t a cloud in the sky 表示天空晴朗无云;dry表示不下雨的;fair表示晴朗无风的(尤用于天气预报)

形容雨天:wet/rainy/damp表示雨水多的,下雨的;unsettled表示天气多变的,经常下雨的;drizzle表示毛毛细雨;shower表示阵雨;downpour表示骤雨,暴雨;It’s pouring down(英)/It’s pouring rain(美) 表示在下暴雨;It’s drizzing表示在下小雨

形容有风的天气:windy表示风大的;blustery表示狂风大作的;breeze表示微风;hurricane/typhoon表示飓风(在大西洋上)/台风(在太平洋上)

形容多云的:cloudy表示多云的;grey/dull表示多云阴沉的;overcast表示阴沉的(指可能要下雨);hazy表示雾蒙蒙的

形容天气热:boiling/scorching/sizzling/blazing/burning/baking/broiling (hot)表示酷热的;sweltering表示闷热潮湿的;warm表示暖和的;balmy表示温暖惬意的;heatwave表示热浪

形容天气冷:freezing (cold)表示严寒的;arctic表示极冷的(常伴有大量冰雪);wintry寒冷如冬季的;crisp表示(空气)寒冷清爽的;chilly表示阴冷的(指让人不好受);cool表示凉爽的;cold snap/cold spell表示严寒期

一、表示原因

例如:

There are three reasons for the changes that have taken place in our life. Firstly, people’s living standard has been greatly improved. Secondly, most people are well paid, and they can afford what they need or like. Last but not least, more and more people prefer to enjoy modern life.

注:如考生写第一个句子没有把握,可将其改写成两个句子。如:Great changes have taken place in our life. There are three reasons for this. 这样写可以避免套用中的表达失误。

二、表示好处

1. It has the following advantages.

3. It benefits us quite a lot.

4. It is beneficial to us.

5. It is of great benefit to us.

例如:

Books are like friends. They can help us know the world better, and they can open our minds and widen our horizons. Therefore, reading extensively is of great benefit to us.
