College of Science
The College of Science has been a leading school in the development of domestic schools of natural science and basic sciences and technologies. This is supported by the fact that the College of Science has been remarkably successful in winning the Brain Korea 21 (BK21) Project, which is one of the largest government-driven research support programs. We were also able to host the Nanostructure Physics Research Center of the Institute for Basic Science (IBS), which receives an annual research fund of 10 billion KRW from the government. These are just a part of our achievements demonstrating the rising status of the SKKU College of Science.

College of Information and Communication Engineering
Since the inauguration of the Department of Electrical Engineering in 1965, the community of electrical science at Sungkyunkwan University has experienced continued development and evolution until its recent establishment as the College of Information and Communication Engineering (CICE).
CICE has become one of the largest and the most innovative institutions in the nation. The CICE distinguishes itself by offering the most complete range of undergraduate and graduate programs with emphasizing fundamental principles of technological progresses.

With more than 80 full-time professors and researchers, who are global leaders in their fields, the CICE’s reputation has been built on the breadth and depth of its research programs, which attract in excess of $20 million in research funds annually.

College of Software
As the importance and influence of software in society and industry is dramatically increasing, the College of Software was established in 2015 to respond to social needs. The college operates two undergraduate departments to faithfully produce scientific bases for leading practical technology and future SW technology, needed in the present software industry, as well as six graduate schools which provide convergence major programs with other study fields and is characterized for producing exclusive research and technology.

Also, we seek research oriented culture which produces large achievements of research that has a practical and ripple effect through Industry-University Cooperation. In this regard we are being supported by the government in University-Business ventures through BK21+ Business, and Grand ITRC Business.
Our aim for the future is to be one of the top colleges in terms of software research and education.

College of Engineering
The College of Engineering established in 1965 celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015. Throughout the last 50+ years, the College of Engineering have pursued world-class research with distinguished faculty and global research centers, have emphasized the industrial collaboration to operate academic departments with government, and have reinforced the global network to expand exchange programs.

School of Pharmacy
The School of Pharmacy was established in 1953 and has provided a top-class pharmaceutical education in Korea ever since. Approximately 5,000 of the School’s alumni are working as core researchers for domestic pharmaceutical companies, or are running their own pharmacy as successful chemists. The undergraduate program is one of the top pharmacy schools in Korea. Many pharmacists and researchers who graduated from the School are actively contributing to the nation’s health care policy and developing new pharmaceuticals for humankind’s well-being.

Currently, about 270 undergraduate students and 300 MSc. and Ph.D. students are enrolled in the School of Pharmacy. The School receives annual extramural research funds in excess of $6.7 million from both the public and private sectors. Our faculty members and graduate students publish over 160 peer-reviewed research papers in SCI journals annually. As a part of our efforts to be a world leader in pharmacy education, the school strives to provide competitive educational programs in cutting-edge teaching and research facilities for undergraduate and graduate students. The School of Pharmacy aims to educate students who are committed to pharmaceutical care and promote scholarly activities in pharmaceutical sciences.

College of Biotechnology and Bioengineering
The College of Biotechnology and Bioengineering was established with the vision that Sungkyunkwan University will lead the forefront in education and research in the fields of Biotechnology and Bioengineering.
With world-class faculties and the best learning environment, students at SKKU can engage in the excitement of biotechnology and bioengineering. In addition to offering high quality undergraduate education, our college offers excellent graduate programs at the MS and Ph.D. levels. Graduates from our advanced degree programs are presidents of corporations, excellent researchers in industries, bureaucrats in related fields and professors.

College of Sport Science
The College of Sport Science was established in 1969 as the Department of Physical Education and developed independently to address academic interests in sports, movement, and health related issues.
The objective of education provided by our college is to foster leaders, who can guide the academia of sport and sport-related industry that are under rapid development and growth. We believe that our college can make contributions to the realization of our nation’s future agenda, “health and welfare”, through our education which enables students to build strong frameworks in knowledge, virtue, and physique, and eventually fosters students to be leaders in our society.

The College of Sport Science has the advantage of nationally recognized faculty and well-equipped research laboratories with tutorial assistance for faculty and students. Also, we provide excellent research opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students and chances to work with intercollegiate athletic teams, as well as community high school athletes. Furthermore, we have excellent record of career placement for students upon graduation.

School of Medicine
SKKU School of Medicine was established in 1997 and aims to educate globally talented Medical Scientists who carry the value of Humanity, Righteousness, Wisdom and Propriety. In cooperation with Samsung Medical Center, SKKU’s School of Medicine is now recognized as one of the top ranking academic medical schools in Korea. The School has continuously endeavored to reform the current medical education and has become the first school in Korea to provide a full two-year PBL program for preclinical education.

The primary goal of our school is to educate students to become competent and compassionate physicians, having characteristics of a self-directed learner. We are striving to encourage students to acquire a broad knowledge based on four important perspectives- demographical, behavioral, biological and clinical aspects. Students are required to master basic principles and theories and identify how these apply to various areas in medicine through their self-learning activities.
学院的基本目标是把学生培养成有竞争力、有同情心、有自主学者特征的内科医生。学院正努力鼓励学生广泛学习人口学、行为学、生物学和临床学四大方面的知识。学院要求学生掌握基本原理和理论，学会通过自学活动鉴别知识理论应用于各医学领域实践的办法。
