Unistats is the UK’s official comparison site for higher education courses. On the website, you can compare over 35,000 full-time and part-time undergraduate courses at more than 400 UK universities and colleges.
Find out what students think of each course
One of the best things about Unistats is that you can discover exactly what current students think about each course. This data is taken from the National Student Survey (NSS). The NSS is completed by final-year undergraduates. This year, the survey had a 71% response rate, so it gives a good indication of your likely experience of the course.
You can find out how satisfied students were with their experience of a course, and what they thought of aspects such as:
The quality of the course
The teaching and academic support
Resources, such as libraries and web access
The way the course was managed.
Find out about employment prospects
Unistats also includes data from the ‘Destination of Leavers from Higher Education' survey. This lets you see what previous students went on to do after they graduated – you can discover the average salary and employment prospects of graduates from each course.
Course fees
The Unistats site lists course fees for students who are UK residents, plus those eligible for the ‘home’ fee. It does not, however, list costs for international students who pay an ‘overseas’ fee.
Don’t worry. It's easy to find the 'overseas' fees: each course listing on Unistats links directly to the relevant university or college website where full fee information is published, usually alongside information about scholarships and bursaries.

Using Unistats is easy. You can search for courses by subject, location and university/college, then create a shortlist of the courses you are most interested in and compare the information for each course side-by-side.

As well as Unistats, there are other sources of information that will help you with your decision.
University and college websites have a wealth of information for international students – not just about the course and how to apply, but about what it is like to live and study in the UK.
