-Nationality of Applicants should be legally valid on the day of the application deadline.
-Holders of Dual nationalities (with Korean) cannot apply for this screening procedure.
-In the case of legal family with only one parent(unmarried parent), that parent’s nationality will be counted

High-school graduate (or graduate-to-be)
Language Proficiency
(1)TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) Level 3 or completion of Korean course Level 3 at PNU International Language Institute
- College of Humanities, Social Sciences, School of Mechanical Engineering, College of Nursing, Pre-medical Science, Clothing and Textiles, School of Chemical·Biomolecular and Environmental Engineering(fresjman), School of Chemical‧Biomolecular and Enviromental Engineering(Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Major(transfer student to 3th year), Environmental Engineering Major (transfer student to 3th year)): TOPIK Level 4 or completion of Korean course Level 4 at PNU International Language Institute
- Department of Pre-medical Science: Freshmen must pass TOPIK Level 5 within one year or they will not be promoted to sophomore.
(2)Department of Global Studies
TOEFL (PBT 550, iBT 80), IELTS 5.5, TEPS 550 or higher
-Not applicable to applicants from the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, or South Africa
-TOPIK is not compulsory.
Transfer (Third Year)

Foreigners who completed (or will complete) two years of academic programs (4 semesters or more) in a Korean or overseas universities or students who graduated (or will graduate) from college
Transfer (3rd year)
- The graduate-to-be who completed (or will complete) formal education equivalent to Korean high school. Also, foreigners who completed two years of an academic program (4 semesters or more) in a Korean or overseas universities or students who graduated (or will graduate) from college.
