  Entry requirements for Applied Psychology [Organisational Psychology] (MAppPsych + PhD) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Entry to the program is very competitive and to be accepted into the course applicants must have successfully completed a four year, or three year plus a fourth year, APAC-accredited sequence in psychology, within the last 10 years, with an upper second class Honours (2A) or equivalent overall mark, and be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a conditional/provisional psychologist. An exception to this may be made for currently registered psychologists who can demonstrate current compliance with Registration Board CPD requirements.

  Students with overseas qualifications who are accepted into the course must ensure that their undergraduate qualifications meet the requirements of the relevant psychology registration board for equivalence to a four-year Australian degree in Psychology in order to be registered from the start of their higher degree as a provisional psychologist. Applications with qualifications obtained outside Australia must have a formal assessment completed by the Australian Psychological Society before submitting an application for study. In order to gain admission to this program, students must satisfy the Psychology Board of Australia English requirements by demonstrating competency in the English Language.

  Applicants must apply simultaneously for entry to both the MAppPsych and the PhD. Unsuccessful applicants for both courses may still be considered for entry to either course on its own. Candidates enrolled in the first year of the MAppPsych may apply for transfer into this course. The admission process includes both application and interview.

  Entry requirements for Applied Psychology [Clinical Psychology] (MAppPsych) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Entry to this course is very competitive and requires a recognised and accredited Bachelor of Arts degree (or Bachelor of Science degree) with at least 2A Honours in Psychology or its equivalent (for example an average Distinction level in a Bachelor of Psychology or Postgraduate/Graduate Diplomas in Psychology). Applicants will also need to supply referee reports and a personal statement that details their past accomplishments, future plans, and interests in the graduate psychology program for which they have applied as part of the admission process.

  Students with overseas qualifications who are accepted into the course and who wish to seek registration in Australia after graduation should ensure that their undergraduate qualifications meet the requirements of the relevant psychology registration board for equivalence to a four-year Australian degree in Psychology. Applications with qualifications obtained outside Australia must have a formal assessment completed by the Australian Psychological Society before submitting an application for study.

  The admission process includes both application and interview.

  Academic entry requirements

  To qualify for admission to this course, applicants should:

  * Have completed a Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) or higher or equivalent in any field;

  * Have at least two years' relevant work experience.

  Academic entry requirements

  Admission to the Master degree is available to students who have a Bachelor's degree in any area.

  Entry requirements for Divinity (MDiv) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Recognised Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Consideration will be given to previous studies in Theology for possible advanced standing of up to 24 points of credit toward the Master of Divinity.

  Entry requirements for Education [Coursework] (MEd) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Recognised Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent training, and a graduate-entry course in Education requiring at least a half year of full-time study, or part-time equivalent,

  OR three-year Bachelor of Arts in Education.

  OR individual applications to be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants will need to demonstrate that experience gained in any studies and or professional experience has provided them with the knowledge and skills to undertake the Master of Education.

  Applicants with a recognised Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent qualification, and a graduate-entry course in Education requiring at least a half year of full-time study, or part-time equivalent, may be eligible for advanced standing of up to 12 points.

  Participants applying for credit for professional workplace learning or work completed through accredited professional development courses or continuing education should contact the Academic Chair for advice. Credit may also be granted for Masters-level units completed in other courses at Murdoch or at other higher education institutions with a maximum advanced standing of 12 points.

  Entry requirements for Education [Research] (MEd(Res)) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  To be eligible for admission as a candidate for a Master of Education (Research) an applicant must have:

  * a Bachelor Degree in Education (AQF level 7), or equivalent, and satisfy the Graduate Research Manager with evidence of scholarly or professional attainments relevant to the proposed research discipline; or

  * a Bachelor Degree in a different discipline (AQF level 7) and have successfully completed a graduate course in Education, or equivalent, requiring at least one year of equivalent full-time study (AQF level 8), and satisfy the Graduate Research Manager with evidence of scholarly or professional attainments relevant to the proposed research discipline; or

  * a Bachelor Degree in a different discipline and satisfy the Graduate Research Manager with evidence of significant scholarly or professional attainments (of at least two years full-time duration or equivalent) in Education equivalent to AQF level 8.

  Entry requirements for Engineering (ME) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Recognised Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) in a relevant area. Normally applicants will also possess an appropriate level of industrial experience. Applicants without the necessary qualifications and/or background will be required to study additional units as part of the course requirements. The preferred format to provide these details is by a Curriculum Vitae and a personal statement of no more than 300 words detailing why this course has been selected.

  Entry requirements for Environmental Science (MEnvSc) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Completion of the Graduate Certificate in Environmental Assessment and Management or Graduate Certificate in Environmental Science or Graduate Diploma in Environmental Science (AQF Level 8), or an equivalent graduate course in a closely related field of education; or equivalent training.

  Entry requirements for Health Care Management (MHCM) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Completion of a Bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent in a health discipline. Preparation for the course through previous study or professional experiences will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  Entry requirements for Health Policy and Leadership (MHPL) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any field.

  Entry requirements for Human Resources Management (GradDipHRM) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Recognised Bachelor's degree or satisfactory preparation for the course through previous study or professional experience. Graduates who wish to pursue a Masters program must apply for admission before enrolling in any further units.

  Entry requirements for Information Technology (MIT) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Recognised Bachelor's degree in IT (AQF Level 7);

  OR recognised non-IT Bachelor's degree plus an approved Diploma in IT (AQF Level 8);

  OR recognised non-IT Honours degree (AQF Level 8) plus five or more years of relevant experience.

  Recognition of relevant and current informal or non-formal learning may be used for entry requirements, and should be discussed with the Academic Chair.

  Entry requirements for Master of Water Treatment and Desalination (MWatTrmt) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Recognised Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) in an Environmental, Chemical or related Engineering discipline. Students with recognised prior learning in other disciplines or practice may also be eligible for admission as determined by the Academic Chair.

  Students with an Engineering Bachelor's degree with at least 2A Honours (AQF Level 8) in a related Engineering discipline may enter the coursework with all of the first year units satisfied.

  Successful completion of the Graduate Diploma in Water Treatment and Desalination (GradDipWatTrmt) from Murdoch University or its equivalent elsewhere satisfies the first year requirements of the Master's coursework.

  Entry requirements for Professional Accounting (MPA) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Recognised Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent training, or professional training. Students who have completed a degree with an accounting major from an Australian university will not be considered for admission.

  Entry requirements for Public Policy and Management (MPPM) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Admission to the Master degree is available to students who have a Bachelor degree in any area.

  ntry requirements for Veterinary Studies [Conservation Medicine] (MVS) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Recognised Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) or higher, or equivalent training.

  Recognised Prior Learning - at least one year of experience in the workplace if applying to enter directly into the MVS in Conservation Medicine.

  Internet access is required for all students, especially those studying externally.

  IELTS of 6.5 (with no band less than 6.0) or equivalent proficiency test.

  ***Students that undertake English for Academic Purposes (EAP) will still be required to sit a proficiency test.

  Entry requirements for Wildlife Health and Conservation (MWildlifeHth) for students from China

  Academic entry requirements

  Completion of an AQF Level 8 qualification, in the biological, ecological, environmental or animal sciences, e.g. Honours,Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma. Students with a Bachelor's degree in the biological, ecological, environmental or animal sciences with at least two years of relevant work experience are also eligible for admission as determined by the Academic Chair.
