华盛顿州立大学本科申请条件

  Academic Requirements

  Secondary School

Complete at least 12 years of school, culminating in an appropriate secondary certificate or external examination. (We may consider the first year or twp of university in some countries to be secondary level.)

Schooling should include preparation in humanities, mathematics, basic sciences, and social sciences.

WSU requires a minimum grade point average of 2.70 (on a 4.00 scale). Preference is given to students whose grades are significantly above average.

  College or University Transfer

You are considered a college transfer student if you have at least one full year of study at an accredited post-secondary school. WSU requires a grade point average of at least 2.50 (on a 4.00 scale).

  English Proficiency

There are three ways to meet the University’s English language proficiency requirement.

  Language Proficiency Exams

WSU accepts scores from the following exams. Score reports can be uploaded into the online international undergraduate admission application at time of submission or emailed or sent by postal mail to our office. Scores must be less than two years old.

Exam Minimum Score
TOEFL 213 computer-based (CBT)
79 internet-based (iBT)
550 paper-based (PBT)
IELTS 6.5
MELAB 77
SAT 500 Critical Reading Sub Score

  Language Waivers

There are several ways to qualify for a waiver. You will not need to provide an exam score if you meet any of these criteria:

Attend an accredited English-speaking high school for at least three years. (If your school was outside the United States, we will need an official letter from the school stating that English was the language of instruction.)

Attend a regionally accredited U.S. college or university, complete course equivalent to WSU’s English 101 and 102 with a 3.0 grade point average for each course, and earn 27 semester (or 40 quarter) hours of transferable credit.

Attend a regionally accredited U.S. college or university and complete at least 53 semester (or 80 quarter) hours of transferable credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.50.

Complete an associate of arts or associate of science degree at a U.S. college with a GPA of 2.50 or better.

You are a citizen from one of the following countries: Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, British Guyana, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Jamaica, Liberia, New Zealand, Trinidad and Tobago, or Zambia.

  English Language Instruction

You can meet the English language proficiency requirement by completing the English preparation program at our Intensive American Language Center (IALC) or an equivalent program (several language preparation programs are available in the United States).

The Intensive American Language Center requires a separate application.

  Transcripts

You will need to provide transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary schools you have attended. Ask the school to send official transcripts directly to WSU.

Transcripts should include courses taken, grades received, and degrees or certificates earned.

Whenever possible, transcripts should be provided in English. If not available in English, transcripts will need to be translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluation agency.

  Certificate of Finances

As part of your application, you will need to provide verification of financial support for at least one year of tuition and expenses. This support may be provided through any combination of personal or sponsored funds.

  Passport

Send a copy of the identity page of your passport or national identification card to WSU with your application.

If any dependents (wife, husband, or child) will be coming to WSU with you, provide a copy of the passport identity page or national identification card for each of them as well.
