普渡大学本科申请条件

  General Requirements & Eligibility

  First, students must complete an online application . Students who have graduated or will graduate from secondary school but have not earned credits at a post-secondary institution should apply as a beginner (freshman) student. Students who have graduated from a secondary school and who have also earned credits at a post-secondary institution should apply as transfer students. There is a $60 application fee.

  The following documentation must be submitted in order to complete an application for an undergraduate program:

  Beginner Student Application — Original or attested copies of all transcripts, diplomas, mark sheets and certificates from all secondary and post-secondary schools attended. Documents should be uploaded to the Common Application. If the documents cannot be uploaded to the Common Application, they must be mailed in a sealed envelope from a secondary school or examination board or university (see mailing address below). To be evaluated, secondary documents must include 3 consecutive years of completed coursework. In some cases, students may need to send records from junior high.

  Transfer Student Application — Original or attested copies of original academic documents from all secondary and post-secondary schools attended, mailed in a sealed envelope from a secondary school or examination board or university (see mailing address below).

  Specific Admission Requirements for China

  Applicants from China (People's Republic of China) applying as beginning students or as transfer students must submit original secondary school transcripts and certified true English translations for the following years of education:

  Junior Middle School (grade 9)

  Senior Middle School (Grade 10, 11)

  University transcripts (transfer students only)

  APPLICANTS FROM CHINESE UNIVERSITIES: Please arrange for a verification report of your university transcript with the China Academic Degree and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC). The report must be mailed directly to the International Students and Scholars Office by the CDGDC, rather than by you or any third party.

  Students accepting admission must submit a final transcript for grade 12 once available.

  Successful completion of a curriculum including English, Mathematics, and Biology, Chemistry, or Physics passed with a grade average of B (80 - 89) or more will be required for admission consideration.

  Advanced standing may be granted to applicants who successfully complete further study and provide a certified true copy of the grade transcript from any of the following:

  Diploma (two to three years from a college, Institute, Professional School, or University)

  Certificate (two to three years from a college, Institute, Professional School, or University)

  Applicants applying as transfer students from Chinese universities must submit an official original or certified true copy of the university transcript in addition to evidence of secondary school completion.

  At least one of the following proofs of English Proficiency (required for citizens of a non-English speaking country):

  Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

  -Students applying to majors within the College of Agriculture, College of Education, College of Health and Human Sciences, College of Liberal Arts, College of Pharmacy, Purdue Polytechnic Institute and Exploratory Studies generally have a score of 80* or higher on the internet-based test.

  -Students applying to majors withing the College of Engineering, College of Science, and Krannert School of Management generally have a score of 88* or higher on the internet-based test.

  *In general, subscores are 20 or higher per section.

  International English Language Testing System (IELTS) In general, applicants have an overall score of 6.5 or higher with at least a 6.0 in each section.

  Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) Critical Reading - 550 or higher.

  American College Test (ACT) English - 24 or higher.

  Purdue School Code: 1230

  British Ordinary Level English Language Exam (GCE/GCSE/IGCSE) Grade of A or B in First-Language English. Submit original or certified true copy of certificate.

  Note: Score results must be from a test taken within the past two years. Official test scores must be received directly from the testing organization. Applicants are required to submit all the standardized test results indicated on their application. Meeting the minimum English proficiency score does not guarantee admission. A student's complete application is holistically reviewed before a decision is made.
