The following scholarships are available to applicants who pay tuition fees at the overseas rate.
New scholarships for refugees
We've launched a new scholarship to help refugees who are escaping the worsening humanitarian crisis in Syria, North Africa and the Middle East. The scholarship provides a full fee waiver, and a maintenance award of up to £8,100 to help with living costs.
We're offering scholarships to two undergraduate students per year, starting from 2016/17. The scheme will initially run for three years.
Eligibility
You'll be eligible to apply if you're seeking asylum or have been granted limited leave to remain in the UK as the result of an asylum application.
Details about how to apply for the scholarship will be available in the next couple of weeks.

Scholarship for overseas students
For applicants commencing study of any subject (excluding medicine students at the Hull York Medical School) at any level as a full-time student at York.
The scholarship is worth one-quarter (25%) of the overseas tuition fee for each year of successful study.
This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.
You must hold an offer for academic study commencing in September 2016 to be eligible to apply.
Deadline for applications: 30 April 2016 (applications will open in January 2016)
Overseas research scholarship
For applicants commencing PhD study at York. Students must be outstanding academically and have the support of their chosen department at York.
The scholarship will pay the full overseas tuition fee and a stipend of £5,000 per year for each year of successful study.
This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.
You must hold an offer for PhD study commencing in October 2016 to be eligible to apply.
Deadline for applications: 30 April 2016 (applications will open in January 2016)
Overseas continuation scholarship
For current University of York Masters students who are progressing to PhD studies at York.
The scholarship is worth £5,000 in the first year of study as a deduction from tuition fees.
This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.
You must hold an offer for PhD study commencing in September 2016 and be a current University of York Masters student to be eligible to apply.
