对于打算到美国读私立中学的考生来说，最好提前一年准备。一般来说，申请美国中学的时间程序大致为：
1、11月、12月参加SLEP考试、SSAT考试；
2、1-2月份向申请学校递交申请材料；
3、3月10日左右美国中学发放第一批录取通知，4月10日左右发放第二批录取通知。
